All decked out with LEDs

Here’s a great new outdoor LED tape installation, sent to us by Jon.

Jon wanted to give his home’s decking a striking new light source for the summer. We thought it sounded like a great project.

InStyle supplied more than 16 metres of our warm white 10-watt LED tape, all pre-cut to the lengths Jon needed and sealed for IP67-rated waterproof protection. Jon mounted the light strips in our thin-surface aluminium LED tape extrusions, to give his installation a smooth diffuse effect.

To power the LEDs, we supplied Jon with a 200-watt IP-rated transformer. And we also set him up with a single-channel wireless wall dimmer and two compatible dimming receivers.

Jon is very pleased with the results. “Really glad I went for the aluminium extrusion too,” he told us.
