Mizzi Studio has won an award for Best Store Design Award from the 2014 Collect+ Retail Week Enterprise Awards for their Samba Swirl store design.

Not only did Mizzi Studios win this prestigious award for their Samba Swirl store design in Camden, London. But they were also shortlisted for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards and for the FX International Interior Design Awards. The winners were announced on the 25th November 2014 at the Grosvenor house Hotel in London.

The Samba Swirl store design was inspired by the Brazilian carnival culture for its vibrant colour and happiness and well being, using this to help Mizzi completely refresh Samba Swirl’s identity capturing the spirit of the Brazilian carnivals. The Camden store uses a modern and clean look using LED light’s supplied by InStyle LED.

Using 15w RGB LED’s and DMX controllers Mizzi were able to recreate the colourful look of the carnivals, and with the LED’s being colour changing they are able to change over the course of the day helping it keeping it alive and fresh just like a carnival. Samba also have the ability to select individual colours to use for special offers on their frozen yogurt range (e.g. selecting purple for blue berry flavour).
