Orders that have been cut to length are not refundable.

LED tape ordered uncut (on reels) is supplied in 5-metre lengths as standard, unless stated otherwise.

All goods should be tested on-site before installation.

All products should be installed by a technically competent person in accordance with BS7671 and all other local regulations

For returnable goods (excepting bulk orders of LED extrusions), we will refund if notified within 7 days only. For bulk orders of LED extrusions, refunds MUST be requested no later than the day of delivery. All refunds are at the manager’s discretion.

All returned goods need to be boxed as new, and in the same condition as originally delivered.

For faulty goods, warranty period is as follows:

  • 5 years for internal (non-waterproof) LED strip lights that are classed as InStyle’s Non IP range
  • 2 years for external products (splashproof/waterproof) that are classed as InStyle’ IP65/IP67 range
  • 5 years for InStyle’s INpower LED power-supply range
  • 5 years for InStyle’s LED receiver range
  • 5 years for InStyle’s LED controller range
  • 2 years for all other standard LED products – i.e., downlights, ground lights
  • 1 year for any non-standard or bespoke product – e.g., non INpower power supplies ordered in as part of a bespoke order, or bespoke LED strips for a custom order

There is no time limit within which we guarantee to supply replacement warranty goods, but we aim to do so within 7 days.

Warranty is void if our product(s) have been used in conjunction with product(s) from other supplier(s). For example, if our LED tape has been used with another company’s transformers. InStyle reserves the final decision on whether any warranty is provided.

If faulty goods are from an external supplier, we will forward them on to our supplier when they are returned to us.

Other than delivery charges for replacement goods following a warranty claim, we do not incur any costs arising from any project. We do not incur any on-site costs, electrician costs, or other installation costs. For example, scaffolding required to re-install replacement goods.

For faulty goods, InStyle will not typically cover the postage cost of returning faulty goods back to ourselves (though we may cover return postage cost in circumstances where we have tested the returned product and confirmed our fault). If goods are a faulty batch, we shall arrange collection and replace as soon as possible. We will incur no on-site costs, electrician costs, or other installation costs.

Goods are shipped via a next-working-day delivery service (8am-4pm) as standard. This service includes replacement of faulty goods. If a Saturday delivery, pre-noon delivery, or other non-standard delivery is required, the customer will be required to cover additional cost.

If a delivery has not arrived on the date stated in our delivery courier’s communication, please contact our delivery courier (DPD UK) directly with your delivery reference. If this does not resolve the issue, please make InStyle LED aware of the situation within 48 hours of the stated delivery date. InStyle accepts no liability if we are not informed within this time.

Deliveries to site are made at the buyer’s risk. InStyle accepts no liability.

We cannot send out replacement products until faulty goods have been returned, received and tested. However, customers can re-order and pay for new goods to replace faulty items within 1 week of the original delivery, and then get a full refund when we receive the returned goods (as long as they are in the same condition as they were originally delivered).

For orders outside of the UK, delivery charges (both ways) arising from for any returns, faults, or batch issues, even if InStyle’s fault, will be incurred by the customer. InStyle will not be responsible for any delivery charges.

All goods must be treated and handled with care. If InStyle assumes this is not the case then warranty is void.

InStyle LED can offer product advice on which products to use for your project, but are in no way held responsible if these are not what you are looking for, not what you expect, not suitable for application or fit for purpose, etc. InStyle are a manufacturer and supplier only, we are not specifiers of products for projects and hold no liability.

For any custom-made IP-rated LED strips from InStyle, the warranty is void if they are adjusted / cut / reworked in any way.

If InStyle suspects any poor or substandard modification has been applied to the LED strips (such as bad soldering or other inadequate work), then warranty is void.

LED strips and other products such as power supplies have an ambient working temperature range. Any installations that cause fault(s) due to overheating are not covered by warranty.

Any installations that cause damage to the LED strips as a result of the application, such as overheating, are not covered by InStyle LED’s warranty. (For example, LED strips being installed in a location receiving direct sunlight all day, consequently overheating the LED strips, or LED strips in a location such as a sauna, or LED strips installed on a metal surface that is in the sun causing overheating, or other unsuitable situations such as a power supply installed in a confined space.)

Installations should always be designed to provide adequate access to the products. InStyle bears no responsibility for any work required to remove/replace the products, and no responsibility for labour or costs incurred in removing/replacing the products.

For IP67-rated products such as LED strips, InStyle will only cover warranty if the ends were sealed by InStyle. If the ends have been sealed by the user, then InStyle’s warranty is void.

If an outcome of any warranty claim cannot be resolved by InStyle, then InStyle holds the right to refund for the products purchased only, and incurs no additional cost, such as labour. Such a decision would conclude the purchasing contract, andnwould be classed as resolved.

InStyle bears no responsibility for any late deliveries from InStyle’s quoted date (such as any charges or upgrades to faster deliveries), and cancelling of bespoke orders is not possible. InStyle will provide the goods in the fastest possible time but with no guarantee.

InStyle’s terms and conditions override any other terms and conditions with the purchaser, even if signed. At the moment of a PO or payment, these terms and conditions become final.

For bespoke projects, or any ongoing ‘roll-out’ contracts/orders with agreed prices, InStyle reserves the right to change the prices after your current order, and before the next order is supplied. (For example, this might arise in a situation where we learn after the first order that supply or fabrication takes a lot more labour, time, or other costs than we first thought, where or market factors change, such as the USD rate.) In such cases, the customer does not have to continue with subsequent PO’s at this time; future orders can simply be stopped if preferred.
