Bar LED tape lighting

The Laska bar in Guernsey underwent a complete refit to redesign the old bar into a modern, stylish, upmarket cocktail bar. The new design looked fantastic with a complete new bar and seating area with various features including drop down circular ceilings soffits.

The owner of the bar wanted to bring the bar to ‘life’ and create a ‘buzzing’ atmosphere with the use of the latest LED lighting, whilst still keeping the bar an upmarket cocktail bar and not going down the route of a night club.

InStyle LED were called upon to offer the commercial LED lighting to complete the refurb. The products used to create the effect were the following:

72m x RGB LED tape commercial grade 7.2w 24v
3 x 200w 24v transformers
3 x Wireless Multizone recievers
1 x Wireless Multizone

The bar lighting was split into 3 areas which the owner wanted to have the choice to control individually or all areas together. The Wireless multizone controller was chosen as this gives exactly that option. From 1 remote you can individually control up to 10 zones (areas), or control all the zones together.

The RGB 7.2w 24v LED tape was used for all 3 areas of the bar. The 3 areas were the back bar and front bar lighting up all of the bottles and shining down the front of the bar. The seating area, this has cut out wall features that light up; and finally the circular ceiling features. The RGB LED tape goes around each feature to create a colour changing halo effect.

Using the RGB wireless controller and the RGB LED tape allows the customer to fully select any shade of any colour with the touch of a button, select colour scrolls, whites and fully dim from 0-100%. The customer can select each area as separate settings or all together as one setting.

The overall effects were stunning and exactly what the owner was looking for. The LED lighting looks stunning and brings the cocktail bar to ‘life’
