Cardiff Blue – interactive city model
Steve has sent us these fantastic pictures of the huge interactive model of Cardiff City that was displayed in Cannes earlier this year.
A massive 6.5 by 5.5 metres in size (that’s over 35m2), the model was designed and built to promote the city of Cardiff to national / international investors and took five months to construct.
The cityscape had already been displayed at several venues – including a major launch in the Cardiff City football stadium attended by over 200 specially invited guests. But for its appearance at the Cannes MIPIM property expo, the model was enhanced by some brilliant blue LED backlighting from InStyle, installed by the Open Space Creative team.
Once the model has been re-installed in its Cardiff home again, Steve hopes that – with the support of Cardiff Council – he’ll be able to make the LED backlights a permanent part of the display very soon.
