One of the main causes of damaged LED strip lights is by leaving them switched on while still on the reel. This creates massive heat build up over a short period of time and inevitably causes damage to the LED strips. It can even be a potential fire hazard.

This happens more often than you would think. If you’e not installing the product yourself, then please make sure your installer is aware of this!
To avoid this issue, always unreel the LED strip lights so they are not coiled up in any way before you connect them and switch them on.
