Signage companies have been making signs that include lighting for years. It has many advantages including making the sign stand out, making it seen at night and also adding design effects like the logos colours etc. So it really is the way to go with making your sign be seen and that’s exactly why your sign is there isn’t it?

There are however many downfalls of using standard fluorescent and incandescent lighting in signage. Problems such as, the fluorescent tubes come in standard lengths and can not be bent around corners. They are non IP rated so the housing that includes the lighting needs to be fully waterproof. The main problem is maintenance. The fluorescent tubes need to be replaced every 2000 hours. For some company’s this can run up a very large maintenance cost if there signs are high up in the air and need scaffolding and a fully trained electrician to change them every time. Because of the way LED chips are made; any shade of any colour can be manufactured. There is also a RGB LED Tape version which can change to any colour instantly including white. It is fully controllable using the industry standard DMX protocol so can be programmed using any DMX controller.

Waterproof:
